I am the parent of 5 children. I was born and raised in Hawke’s Bay and attended Karamu High School. With a passion for sport I excelled in basketball and represented Hastings and Napier in tournament teams. I have a Bachelor in Sport Science and worked for a time with Sport Waikato as a Community Health Consultant.
I began working in the funeral industry as a funeral director and embalmer in 2008 and I realised that helping families through what is a difficult time in their life, was extremely rewarding and was something that I was passionate about.
In 2013 we opened the Hastings branch of Simplicity, as it was a chance for me to come back to my origins and to reconnect with the community that I was raised in.
Outside of work I enjoy time with my family, walking our dog, fishing, diving and enjoying the beautiful Hawke’s Bay weather.
