I was fortunate enough to be raised within Te Ao Maori and alongside cousins by my Late Kuia Patsy Tawhaitari Wilson (nee Poki) through this upbringing, I have been able to experience how we as Māori celebrate the lives of those who have gone before us.

Addressing the deceased is a vital part of our culture, and one of the first things you will ever hear within Karanga or Whaikorero is an acknowledgment of those who have passed before us a.

My exposure to death from birth planted the seed within me, a passion and natural ability to work within the funeral industry to guide the bereaved during a very emotional time while continuing to uphold the mana of their loved ones giving loved ones the respect they deserve as they make their final journeys home, a seed which has now come to fruition

As a single mother of two beautiful daughters, I aspire to pave the way for them and show them they may achieve anything they set their hearts on in this lifetime.
